Salman Khan’s ‘Veergati’ co-star Pooja suffers from TB, seeks actor’s help

Salman Khan’s Veergati’ actress Pooja Dadwal is terminally ill and she is seeking financial help. The actress is suffering from tuberculosis and was admitted in a hospital in Mumbai. She starred opposite Salman Khan in 1995 film ‘Veergati’. Pooja sent a video message to Salman asking for help as her financial condition is very weak but the superstar not yet responded.

“I got to know six months ago that I was suffering from tuberculosis. After learning about this I tried to contact Salman Khan but there’s been no response yet,” she was quoted as saying by a daily from Mumbai.

As per report, Pooja Dadwal was married to a casino manager in Goa before she got diagnosed with tuberculosis. But when her husband and in-laws came to known about her illness, they abandoned her. “If Salman Khan sees my video, he might help me. I have been admitted to the hospital for 15 days now. I was the manager at a casino in Goa for several years. I am penniless. I am dependent on others for even a cup of tea,” she told the daily.

Report further says Pooja’s condition is deteriorating day by day and if she does not get financial help then it might prove fatal.

Karishma Tanna sued for fraud and cheating

Television actress and former ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant Karishma Tanna has been caught in a legal hassle. The actress was sued for cheating, threatening and blackmailing. A Delhi-based event manager Manas Katyal slapped legal notice accusing the actress of fraud.

As per reports, Karishma Tanna was roped in to perform at a wedding reception in Haldwani on February 16 but she failed to turn up. “We gave her the advance payment, thus booking her for the said date. However, Karishma and her entourage, including her manager Payal Rai and stylist Seema Samar Ahmed, didn’t show up at the venue. Her no-show caused us a loss of nearly Rs 10 lakh”, Manas was quoted as saying by a daily from India.

“She threatened our driver with a false case of harassment if he didn’t turn the car around and drive her back to Delhi,” he added. Karishma Tanna on her part, accuses Katyal of duping her. “I was told the show was in Moradabad. When we reached Moradabad, we found out that the show was actually in Haldwani, which is another few hours from there. I had told Manas right at the start that I have a back issue and can’t travel long distances.”

‘The Crown’ star urged to donate pay disparity money

A petition has urged “The Crown” star Matt Smith to donate the extra money he received for the show to the “Time’s Up” movement after it was revealed that he was paid more than leading lady Claire Foy. The show attracted criticism from fans when producers revealed that Smith, who played Prince Philip for two seasons, negotiated a better deal than Foy thanks to his popularity from “Doctor Who”. A similar petition had asked Mark Wahlberg to donate the $1.5 million more that he made during reshoots for “All the Money in the World” after it was revealed that Michelle Williams was paid just $1,000 for the same work.
