Public’s Assistance Sought to Identify Multiple Suspects in Break and Enter

Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying multiple suspects in a residential break and enter in the City of Brampton.

On August 26, 2018, in the area of Malta Avenue and Tina Court between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm a group of individuals entered into a residence. They proceeded to take numerous items from various rooms with a total value exceeding $15,000.00. Arrest Made in Brampton Fatal Collision

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have arrested a male party in relation to a fatal collision resulting in the death of a newlywed.

On October 21, 2018, at approximately 12:30 a.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 50 and Castlemore Road, in the City of Brampton.

As a result of the collision, a 30 year-old female passenger from Newmarket, was killed on scene. Her husband of only one week, a 31 year-old male from Newmarket was transported to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The party responsible for the collision and lone occupant of his vehicle fled the scene on foot.

On October 23, 2018, Walid Wakeel, a 23 year-old male from Nobleton, turned himself in to Peel Regional Police.

Walid Wakeel was arrested and charged with: Criminal Negligence Cause Death; Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm;
Fail to Remain at Scene of Accident Cause Death and Fail to Remain at Scene of Accident Cause Bodily Harm
