Priyanka Chopra to present award at Oscars So What Will She Wear

Priyanka Chopra who has been going places ever since her American TV debut ‘Quantico’, will be one of the presenters at this year’s Oscars to be held on February 28.

Priyanka Chopra, who was at the SAG and People’s Choice Awards held last month, made the announcement on Twitter. She will be walking the red carpet with the who’s who of Hollywood at the Oscars this year.

Priyank, who was last seen onscreen in Bajirao Mastani, is currently in the US where she is shooting for the next part of her hit TV show in which she plays an FBI trainee. Priyanka will be joining other presenters which include Jared Leto, Kerry Washington, Julianne Moore and Quincy Jones to name a few.

There’s also no telling if Priyanka is going to choose an Indian designer or a Western one. It would be a great moment for the Indian design industry if she got outfitted by a Sabya or a Satya Paul, but there’s no evidence from her previous red carpet appearances abroad that she likes wear her patriotism on her sleeve.

The former Miss India has impeccable dress sense but her choice of designers has been eclectic, ranging from the very Indian Sabya to the very classy Givenchy. When she prefers to project a graceful avatar, we have seen her turn to Monique L’Huillier. For elegance, she’s turned to Pankaj and Nidhi’s printed gowns. For a sexy look, she’d greenlighted Australian designer Alex Perry and so on.

Priyanka is one of the few Bollywood stars who can carry off a western look with ease. Even Aishwarya Rai has had her difficulties, looking matronly on the Cannes red carpet, but Priyanka has been free of such faux pas.

The actress turned quite a few heads at the 2016 Screen Actors Guild award show where she wore a Monique L’Huillier gown and flaunted her curves in a mermaid-style strapless pink gown. The form-fitting beige gown was covered with pink and white lace designs. She looked stunning.
