On Friday, Premier Kathleen Wynne (centre left) led the Ontario delegation to Mumbai for the final plenary session and signing ceremony of the mission, where companies and institutions from India and Ontario announced 16 new agreements. In total, 65 agreements valued at over $240 million were signed throughout the mission, which will create more than 150 high-value jobs in Ontario. Before the plenary session began, Minister of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure Brad Duguid (far left), Premier Wynne, Prince Edward Island Premier Wade MacLauchlan (centre right) and Maharashtra Chief Secretary Swadheen Kshatriya (far right) discussed how to increase trade between India and Ontario.

P. Gurnani (far left) in Mumbai as part of the Premier’s mission to India. Tech Mahindra is a multi-billion dollar information and technology (IT) services company based in India. During the meeting, the Premier promoted Ontario is an ideal place to invest — Ontario has a talented workforce, a strong culture of innovation, generous research and development tax credits and the competitive business environment needed for the next generation of IT breakthroughs.
