Police Seek Assistance in Sexual Assault and Robbery Investigation

Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit are seeking assistance from the public, to identify a suspect involved in a sexual assault and robbery investigation.

On Saturday, December 29, 2018, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the victim, a 34 year old man, was walking in the area of Kariya Park located near Burnhamthorpe Road West and Kariya Drive in the City of Mississauga when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect produced a weapon, robbed the victim of his personal belongings and then forced him into a secluded area where he was sexually assaulted. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a man, approximately 5’7” in height and was wearing a balaclava-style ski mask and a dark jacket.
