Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Suspect in Aggravated Assault Incident

Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in an aggravated assault incident.

On Friday January 6, 2017 at approximately 9:45 p.m. the victim exited through the back door of a local establishment located at Dixie Road and Bloor Street in the City of Mississauga and walked towards Bloor Street. A black colour four door vehicle passed the victim in the loading dock area of a nearby plaza.  For an unknown reason the victim struck the rear quarter panel of the vehicle with his fist. The suspect stopped the vehicle and confronted the victim, punching him at least once, causing the victim to fall to the ground. As a result, the victim sustained severe head trauma and remains in local hospital.

The suspect is described as: male white approximately 25-30 years-old, skinny build, wearing a black bomber style winter coat and a black winter toque. The suspect was seen driving a black sporty mid-size four door vehicle which fled eastbound on Williamsport Drive in the City of Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police are asking nearby businesses to check any video surveillance or footage they may have which depicts this incident.
