Police appealing for witnesses after driver shot on Hwy. 410

Peel Regional Police has said that  a 26-year-old man was shot while driving along Highway 410 in Brampton late Tuesday evening. Police said they responded to a call around 11:21 p.m. in the area of Highway 410 and Bovaird Drive. Authorities said the victim was driving a grey Honda Accord northbound on Highway 410 south of Steeles Avenue when suspects from another vehicle pulled up and fired multiple shots in the driver’s side door.

Authorities have yet to release a suspect or vehicle description. The shooting comes just one week after a 23-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle that ended up in a ditch on Highway 410 in Mississauga. He died of his injuries in hospital. Police have yet to make any arrests in the case.
