Peel Region’s 4th Murder of 2018

On January 27th, 2018 at 7:20 p.m., police responded to a report of a deceased female located in a basement apartment of a residence in the Kennedy Road and Rutherford Road area of Brampton. Upon arrival, the deceased was located with obvious signs of physical trauma and the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have taken carriage of the investigation.

Witnesses reported a disturbance within the residence at approximately 2:30 p.m. on January 27th, 2018 after which a male party was observed leaving the residence on foot. The unknown male party is described as wearing a jacket with a fur trimmed collar with the hood pulled up over his head, jeans and white running shoes.  He is also described as being between 5’7”and 5’9” in height with a stocky build.

The female victim has been identified as Hoden SAID, 30 years old and a resident of Brampton.  Police believe that this was an isolated incident and there is no immediate risk to public safety at this time.
