For those planning a temple wedding, requisition letter from parents of prospective bride and groom and proof of their age has become mandatory in Dakshina Kannada districts

According to a report by in Indian media Dakshina Kannada (DK) district administration has made it compulsory for all temples that conduct weddings to seek a requisition letter from the parents’ of the prospective bride and groom and their age proof.
This was announced by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar during a review meeting of all temples in the district under the endowment department.
