Panorama India Republic Day 2017

Panorama India Toronto, with the support of the Consulate General of India, organized 68th Republic Day of India on Saturday January 28, 2017 at Pearson Convention Centre, Brampton. Consul General of India in Toronto Mr Dinesh Bhatia, in his capacity as the Honorary Patron of Panorama India, presided over the function.

Premier of Ontario Ms. Kathleen Wynne was the Chief Guest on the occasion which witnessed the presence of several Ontario MPPs including Ms. Harinder Malhi,     Ms. Dipika Damerla, Ms. Amrit Mangat, Mr.Bob Delaney and former Senator Ms. Asha Seth.  Federal Minister Ms. Kirsty Duncan represented the Federal Government in the event. Leader of Opposition Party Mr. Patrick Brown also graced the occasion with his presence.

A large gathering of around 7000 plus Indians, Indo-Canadians and friends of India participated in the event which focused on uniting the local Indian community by celebrating the diversity of India with colorful cultural program, folk dance competition, Panorama India Idol Finale, drawing competition for children, food court, and Meena Bazaar with a variety of clothes, food, and jewelry stalls.
