PAK TRAVELLER HELD WITH PISTOL AT ATTARI BORDER

The Customs department of India has seized a pistol and two magazines from a Pakistani traveller who crossed over to India from Pakistan via integrated check post at Attari. The arrested has been identified as Multan Ahmad. Customs commissioner Dipak Kumar Gupta said that at the time routine checking of international passengers, the customs department, during X-ray scanning of a pressure cooker, traced out the automatic imported pistol, along with two magazines. He said the weapon and magazines were concealed in the bottom of the cooker wherein an extra layer was welded.
