In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, Raj Grewal, Member of Parliament for Brampton East will recognize exceptional members of our community with a special Canada 150 Volunteer Award. The awards will be presented at a special ceremony in Fall 2017.
Do you know a Brampton East resident who has personally made contributions that have, or are currently making Brampton East and in extension Canada, a happier, healthier and stronger place to live? If you do, then nominate this resident. Canadian citizenship is not a requirement for this award.
“Volunteers are the backbones of our communities, but too often their work goes unnoticed or underappreciated. In honour of Canada’s 150th anniversary, I would like to recognize exceptional members of our community with a special Canada 150 Volunteer Award to thank them for their selfless service towards the betterment of our community,” said Raj Grewal.
Eligibility criteria: Nominees must live within the boundaries of the electoral district of Brampton East and should be more than 12 years of age. However, self nominations are not permitted.
How to submit your nomination: In order to submit a nomination, please email raj.grewal@parl.gc.ca no later than September 30th, 2017. You will need to include: The name, full addresses and contact information of the nominee and of yourself; a description of your nominee’s contributions, including type of work performed, organizations involved, length of service and other relevant biographical information; two letters of support from organizations or individuals who can attest to the candidate’s volunteer contributions
