Israr Ali, who was a member of Pakistan’s first ever Test squad, passed away in his hometown of Okara, Punjab, at the age of 88. The all-rounder was also was a member of Pakistan’s first Test squad which came to India in 1952. He was born on May 1, 1927 in Jalandhar in undivided India. Israr had also played two Tests against Australia in 1959 before he ended his career with six wickets.
