Passenger dies after flight makes emergency landing in Abu Dhabi

Air India Express flight made an emergency landing in Abu Dhabi after passenger complained of discomfort. A traveller bound to India from Saudi Arabia died at an Abu Dhabi hospital after the Saudi-India flight made an emergency landing in the UAE capital.  The Air India Express flight IX-322 from Riyadh to Calicut made the emergency landing at Abu Dhabi Airport after the passenger Mohammad Salim, 35, complained of discomfort, reported media from Abu Dhabi.  The medical team at the airport responded quickly to the medical emergency and the patient was rushed to Mafraq Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Australians endorse gay marriage

In a postal survey that ensures the Parliament considers a bill to legalize same-sex weddings this year, Australians have said they support gay marriage.  The Australian Bureau of Statistics has said that 62 per cent of registered adults who responded had voted for the reform in an unprecedented two-month survey. The conservative government had promised to allow the Parliament to consider a bill to create marriage equality in Australia. While gay marriage could be a reality in Australia by Christmas, opponents have also questions the legitimacy of any same-sex marriage law since several lawmakers could potentially be disqualified from Parliament due to a constitutional ban on dual citizens standing for election. Ireland is the only other country in the world to put the divisive issue to a popular vote. In Ireland, 61 per cent of registered voters turned out for a referendum in 2015 and 62 per cent of those voted to change the constitution to allow marriage equality.

Cyclist who showed Trump the finger gets donations

More than $70,000 in donations have poured into a crowd funding site set up for the cyclist who was fired from her job for making a rude gesture to President Donald Trump’s motorcade. More than 3,000 donations — from $5 to $250 — have rolled in since November 6, when the Go-FundMe campaign was set up on behalf of Juli Briskman. Briskman’s raised middle finger was caught by news photographers as Trump’s motorcade passed her on October 28 as he left Trump National Golf Course in Sterling, Virginia. The image immediately went viral.
