New Hope for Senior Citizens of Brampton

Annual senior’s community award ceremony was held at The Gore Meadows Community Centre & Library ( 10150 The Gore Road, Brampton). The program started with Canada’s national anthem and was followed by India’s national anthem. The anthems were sung by Dr. Guru Dutt Vaid, Shambhu Dutt Sharma, Mr. Kahlon, and others. Appropriate respect was shown. Mr. Shambhu Dutt Sharma then recited prayers from different religions showing diversity & respect to all hate none silence was observed, paying tributes for Orlando slayings shocking victims, Shambhu Dutt Sharma gave all the details & explained the gunman, Mateen, the individual who attacked the gay night club, from Muslim extremists groups. At the same time, he spoke about one knife-wielding attacker who stabbed a senior police officer to death in Paris. Howell, who attended the LA pride event, had no clear motive. Assault rifles were found in his car with high capacity magazines and ammunition on shocking news.

June is senior’s month, mothers and fathers combined parents’ day was celebrated as usual by gifting all more than 150 senior emmbers of the club. Shirts to men and purses to ladies were given individually by the consulate general of India in Toronto. Welcome reception was given to Mr. Dinesh Bhatia Ji of consul general of India Toronto. Many community organizations of Brampton participated to share the celebrations and show respect to guests. Shambhu Dutt Sharma, President New Hope Senior Citizens of Brampton, ,welcomed diverse community leaders, all faces of generosity and dedicated volunteering with devotion, talent and sparing their time and money in support of many senior clubs.

From the state bank of India, Brampton branch Mr. Rejesh Gupta, President and CEO, and Biswajit Dass Chief of Operation Officer participated with their staff and spoke about the new monetary policies of the state bank of India. Requested everyone to come and share their availability for help. Now they have waived charges for hope certificate attestation.

Mr. Raj Grewal, Member of Parliament (MP) for Brampton East, Ruby Sahota the MP for Brampton North, Sonia Sidhu the MP for Brampton South, Honourable Navdeep Bains the Minister of Innovation Science & Economic Development, Honourable Kristy Duncan the Minister of Science in Etobicoke. All due to pre-engagements and session of parliament made their presence through their constituency assistances shared and paid greetings for the function. They honoured visitors from India as well.

Kathleen Wynne the Premier of Ontario sent inability to attend. Amrit Mangat MPP Mississauga-Brampton South, Harinder Malhi the MPP for Brampton-Springdale, Mr. Vic Dhillon the MPP for Brampton, Mr. Jagmeet Singh the MPP for Bramlea-Gore- Malton, all were here to share the stage and spoke about the new policies of the provincial government on child benefits and 8.3 billion climate plan.

The largest investment on public infrastructure for a waste free Ontario, a retirement pension plan that will bring financial security and drive economic growth, along with other polices and senior benefits. John Sprovieri Regional Councillor Wards 9-10, Gurpreet Dhillon City Councillor Wards 9-10, Pat Fortini City Councillor wards 7-8, Liz Van Eysinga Recreation Supervisors public services recreation and culture; were honoured by New Hope Senior Citizens of Brampton. They assured their doors are open for everyone to come and share their problems. They will be ready to help. Mr. Dhillon specifically took the last session to assure all. Community leaders’ supporters of New Hope Senior Citizens of Brampton were awarded volunteer community awards for their sense of service and guidance to the community.

Mr. and Ms. Kuldeep Gupta Kussam Gupta, Mr. and Mrs. Ghmsham Vania, Mr. and Mrs. Sudhair Handa, Ruth Harper, Mr. Satish Thakkar, Mr. Gurdev Singh Maan (President of North York Sikh Temple), Mr.Rakesh Joshi (Joshi Law Office), Mr. and Mrs. Naval Bajaj, Mr. Kashmiri Lal Swan (printing press), Mr.Gurjit Singh Grand Empire Banquet Hall, Mr. Amol Bhardwaj ICICI Bank Manager in Brampton, Mr.Jaspreet Singh Habib Bank, Harshad Singh Bassi, Pooran Singh Pandhi were all honoured for their community services. They shared the stage.

From the press and TV Mr. Judhveer Jaiswal Publisher Midweek weekly Y.T.V on Rogers and Bell was here with his crew members to honour the consul general of India Toronto but left due to an urgent call.

Mr. Lalit Thakkar (publisher and editor of Gujrati news), Mr. Bal Raj Del (publisher and editor of Khabar Nama Punjabi news) were all honoured for their honest services to the community. Mr. Bashir international photographer is known for his sincere and praiseworthy, qualitative services too. Mr. Rashpal Sharma director from the club welcomed and thanked all the guests and spoke about the history and services New Hope Senior Citizens of Brampton is providing to the community. Mr.Shambhu Datt Sharma the president thanked all the participants’ board of directors, club members, and advisors of the New Hope Senior Citizens club for their cooperation in this eventful function, which was a great success. He thanked all the sister seniors clubs and their presidents and members for sharing Dr.Guru Datt Vaid, his wife Uncle Dugal, Mr. B.S Kalia, Mr. Harbhawan Makkard, Mr. Krishan Salwan, Mr.Danash Parmar, Mr. Bhagavut Pandey, Mr. Ram Joshi, Mr. Saran Ghai, Rachhpal Sharma, Dr. Om Satija,

Mr. Subhash Sharma, Mr. Praful Bhai Bhavsar, Mr. Ram Prakash, Mr. Dilip Parikh, Mr. Rajinder Saran, Mr. Dharam Vir Chibbar and Mrs. Sunita Vermani all were appreciative for their dedicated team work for the club. All left with a word of thanks.
