NDP Statement on The Occasion Of Diwali, Deepavali and Bandi Chhor Divas

Jagmeet Singh, Leader of Canada’s NDP, issued the following statement:

“Today, people in Canada and around the world are celebrating Diwali, Deepavali and Bandi Chhor Divas. Diwali and Deepavali are festival of light that celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, of good over evil. Bandi Chhor Divas celebrates the fight against political injustice. Today, as families light lamps and celebrate, let’s all commit to choosing light, standing together, and seeking justice. On behalf of all New Democrats, I wish everyone a joyous Diwali, Deepavali, and Bandi Chhor Divas!”
