After days of suspense, Russian authorities have finally got to know the reason behind a river in Siberia turning blood-red. Norilsk Nickel, the world’s biggest nickel producer, has admitted a spillage at one of its plants, which had turned the river red. After denying blame for the contamination, Nickel said on Monday that a dike at its Nadezhda plant overflowed, colouring the Daldykan river, by the Arctic town of Norilsk, red, media from US reported.
