Today, Mayor Jeffrey sent congratulatory letters to all of the newly elected Brampton Members of Provincial Parliament (MPP) and to Ontario’s Premier-elect, Doug Ford.

“I want to thank everyone who’s worked hard for Brampton over the past few years,” said Mayor Jeffrey. We are now transitioning into a new government and I congratulate our newly elected MPPs: Amarjot Singh Sandhu, Sara Singh, Prabmeet Singh Sarkaria, Gurratan Singh and Kevin Yarde. I also want to congratulate Ontario’s new Premier-elect, Doug Ford, on winning a majority government. I’m excited and look forward to working together with our new Premier-elect and our local MPPs as we make a brighter future for Brampton.

Brampton is a strong, inclusive city with smart, passionate people. As one of Canada’s youngest and fastest-growing cities we are committed to working with our new provincial government to build a global city of the future.”

Mayor Jeffrey plans on meeting with Brampton’s new MPPs soon and looks forward to building strong, positive working relationships with each of them.
