Monument Unveiling

The City of Brampton invites members of the public and the media to the unveiling of a monument dedicated to the long and historic service of the Lorne Scots Regiment. The monument will be unveiled by His Royal Highness Prince Edward, The Duke of Kent, with Mayor Linda Jeffrey, to a Guard of Soldiers with senior military officers.
When: 10 am, Friday, September 23, 2016. Seated by 9:45am.
Where: Gage Park, Brampton, Ontario
What: The City of Brampton will unveil a monument dedicated to the Lorne Scots Regiment.
Details: Members of the media are asked to remain in the designated area outlined in the attached site map. There will be a formal photo opportunity following the unveiling – it is requested that media wait until that time to come forward.
Military Parade
In a ceremony known as a Trooping of the Colours, the Regiment will march onto a parade overseen by His Royal Highness Prince Edward, The Duke of Kent, with senior military officers, Members of Parliament and Provincial Parliament, Mayors and other VIPs.
Accompanied by its renowned band, the Regiment will march onto the Sandalwood and Creditview Sports Complex, north-eastern fields.
