Kangana to play kabaddi player

It is indeed a busy year for Kangana Ranaut. The actress who is currently shooting for Mental Hai Kya will soon be seen essaying the role of a kabaddi player In Ashwini Iyer’s upcoming sports drama. Kangana has allotted dates from October to December for this upcoming project.

“Kangana’s Mental Hai Kya wraps up on July 11. She will immediately fly back to Mumbai and complete some patch work of Manikarnika. She has to devote two days for a brand shoot. But, for most part of August, she and Ashwini will be busy doing a workshop for the kabaddi film,” a daily from India quoted its source as saying.

Ashwini Iyer is scouting for a coach who will train Ranaut in the sport. The daily from India quoted its source as saying, “Ashwini is screening national-level kabaddi champions’ profiles to find the one who can train Kangana. While Kangana has already started practising yoga to be able to master the breath-holding technique, a prerequisite of the game, the preparation will see her learning different kinds of holds and kicks. Learning the crocodile hold and wrist catch will be crucial. She will also need to undergo a change in terms of her physique.”
