Kangana demands Rs 11 Crore for her next !

Rajeev Menon, who has directed movies like Sapnay and Kandukondain Kandukondain and was the cinematographer on movies like Bombay and Guru, was to direct a movie that would feature Kangana Renaut. “A big studio was to produce the film andeverything was almost finalised. Kangana, she said she liked the script, but when they went to sign her, she quoted Rs 11 crore as her fees, reported a daily from Mumbai citing its sources.

The makers were obviously taken aback. The daily reported, “Kangana’s record at the box-office has been sketchy. For every Queen, there’s a Katti Batti, for every Tanu Weds Manu there is a Rangoon. And let’s not forget Revolver Rani, which tanked miserably. So, when a star cannot even guarantee a certain return, how can he/she ask for that kind of remuneration?” The project took too much time and the makers then decided to put it on the back burner.
