Investigators Seeking Public’s Help In Identifying Suspects In Distraction Theft

Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a distraction theft investigation. 

On Saturday December 10, 2016 at approximately 1:40 p.m. two male suspects attended jewellery store in the area of Lorne Park road and Albertson crescent in the City of Mississauga.  The suspects appeared to be shopping and asked numerous questions regarding purchases.

While one suspect was distracting an employee, the other suspect selected numerous gold pieces of jewellery, this resulted in a high value of jewellery being stolen.

The in store video footage captured the two suspects, with the following descriptors:

Suspect #1 is described as male white, 5’6’ in height, 160 pounds, with a red beard, black skull cap orange jacket, beige pants, this suspect spoke with a heavy Eastern European accent. 

Suspect #2 is described as male white, 5’9” in height, 190 pounds, medium build, black hair, thin black beard, wearing a black coat, Adidas brand running shoes, this suspect also spoke with a heavy Eastern European accent. 

Police are reminding the public to report any suspicious activity. If these suspects are seen, please do not approach, call police immediately.
