Upasna Singh, more popularly known as Bua of Comedy Nights With Kapil and later Comedy Nights Live (CNL), quit the show Upasna stayed back with Colors to work with Krushna Abhishek when the cast of Comedy Nights with Kapil decided to do The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony Entertainment Television following a fallout with Colors.

She revealed a blow-by-blow account of her side of the story to a entertainment magazine from India.  “There are many reasons. One should work in a place where he/she gets job satisfaction. What is live about Comedy Nights Live? It’s Comedy Nights Dead. Besides, the producers ditched me on not just the agreement but payment as well.

Till date, I have been paid for only 2 days of work when I have worked for 4 months with them. We had mutually agreed on certain clauses 4 months ago, now they have sent me some new clauses to sign upon.

They said that I will be seen in every episode. They said that I will be a very important character in the show. They said that I will be paid my acting fees every 30 days.. Add this to the fact that I was not happy creatively.” She went on to say that a creative dissatisfaction was setting in,  “I was very dissatisfied. I never felt that I was doing any comedy. There used to be no script. I used to go up to the director and tell him: If I can’t laugh while reading your lines, how will the viewers laugh?
