Ghaziabad gang- rape victim blasts police

The Ghaziabad gang- rape victim has raised finger at the police for its shoddy probe into the crime that took place inside a moving car late Tuesday night. The 22- year- old victim, as per media reports from India, was irritated that the police have not written in the FIR that the accused had shoved a bottle inside her. The victim had mentioned this brutal act to the sleuths. She has also alleged that a PCR team had taken her first to a police outpost instead of taking her to a hospital. Besides the victim, the man who rescued the girl has also raised objection to the police investigation in the gang- rape case. The victim was allegedly abducted by four men on Monday night from Vasundhara, Sector 16 in Ghaziabad, following which she was raped in their car. She was then dumped near Noida Sector 62, Station House Officer of Indirapuram Police station, Rashid Ali is reported to have said.

The 21- year- old domestic help, Neeraj Saki, accused of murdering the 81- year- old former journalist Rekha Duggal at her Greater Kailash- II residence, admitted on before a court that he had raped the victim before setting her on fire. Rekha Duggal, was found on the first floor of the house, sprawled on a bed that had been set on fire. Duggal’s help, Neeraj Saki, who belongs to Madhubani in Bihar, was booked for murder and destruction of evidence.  Neeraj said he first raped the woman and later set her ablaze in order to destroy the evidence. Saki told the court that after committing the crime took away valuables from her house after murdering the woman. Neeraj initially tried to mislead the cops, saying the death seemed to have been caused by the fire. But he Neeraj broke down after the technician — who was called by the Delhi Police to find out the cause of the fire — disclosed that the fire was not occurred due to short circuit in AC. In the meantime, doctors also found that ligature marks on her neck suggesting that she was strangled.
