21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau officers have arrested a male for Robbery and Breach of an Undertaking.
On June 17, 2015 Police arrested a male for two robberies that had taken place in Brampton. The first robbery was on June 11, 2015 along Peter Robertson Boulevard in Brampton. The accused approached the victim removed a necklace forcibly from her neck and fled. The second Robbery took place at the Blue Oak Park near Sugarpine Court in Brampton on June 17, 2015. The victim was approached by the accused and a bracelet was forcibly removed from her wrist. The victim’s in these incidents were both senior citizens and investigators are concerned there may be more victims who have yet to come forward.
Police were able to identify the male suspect as a 17 year-old young person from Brampton who, due to the parameters of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, cannot be named. He will attend a Bail Hearing today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

• Police would like to remind the public there are opportunistic people who will take advantage of jewelry that is displayed and urge you to conceal your jewelry when in public.
• Officers urge everyone to be diligent of their surroundings and to be cautious of those who approach in remote areas or in areas when no one else is around
