Firearms Stolen In Residential Break & Enter

Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating a residential break and enter, which led to a theft of firearms. On Sunday, October 1, 2017, 22 Division Officers responded to a residential break and enter near the intersection of Steeles Ave and Financial Drive, Brampton.

Investigation revealed that at some point between Thursday September 28, 2017, and the evening of Sunday, October 1, 2017, unknown culprit(s) gained entry to the residence and forced open a gun locker that was secured inside. A total of five long guns were stolen from the residence. No ammunition was stolen.  The firearms were stored correctly as per Criminal Code requirements.
