Daylight Shooting Results in Peel Region’s Fourth Murder of 2019

Members of the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are investigating the Region’s fourth murder of 2019.

On Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11:18 a.m., police were called to a commercial plaza in the area of Dundas Street and Cawthra Road, in Mississauga for a shooting.

Police attended the scene and located a male victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.  The victim, a 32 year-old man from Mississauga, was transported to a trauma centre where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The suspects are described as two men wearing dark hoodies who fled the area. A blue Honda Civic was located on fire in the area of Rymal Road and Tomken Road; it is possibly related to this incident.
