Cong moves EC against party merger

A Congress delegation  petitioned the Election Commission against the September 16 merger of its MLAs in Arunachal with the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA), demanding that the same be declared as invalid. A delegation comprising former Arunachal CM Nabam Tuki, party secretary KC Mittal and AICC secretary K Jayakumar alleged the merger was illegal as no such decision was taken by the Congress or by its state unit.
