Citizen Helps in Arrest After Convenience Store Robbery

Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau have arrested and charged a male after a knife point robbery.

On Thursday February 9, 2017, at approximately 8:15 p.m., the accused attended a convenience store in the area of Lakeshore Road and Lakefront Promenade in the City of Mississauga. The accused approached the lone employee of the store, brandished a knife and stole a quantity of money.  During his escape, a concerned citizen chased after the accused and attempted to restrain him awaiting police arrival.  The accused was able to escape and was located and arrested a short distance away.  The citizen suffered minor injuries during the altercation. 

Adam CRESTANI, a 33 year-old male from the City of Mississauga has been charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Assault. CRESTANI was held pending a bail hearing that occurred on February 10, 2017.

Peel Regional Police would like to remind the public to call 9-1-1 immediately if you witness an offence.
