BRAMPTON, ON: It’s the most wonderful time of year. The City of Brampton will officially welcome the 2017 Christmas season with three events beginning November 17.

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
The holiday season kicks off in downtown Brampton with the annual Tree Lighting on Friday, November 17 from 6 to 8 pm, in Ken Whillans Square, City Hall. At 6:20 pm Mayor Jeffrey will flip the switch to illuminate an extraordinary 60-foot spruce tree.

This exciting evening is packed with free, family-friendly activities including: a Princess Show, Christmas crafts, letter writing to Santa, an ice sculpting battle and more. Gage Park will feature outdoor activities such as cookie decorating, fire pits with marshmallow roasting, a Snow Globe Skating Show and a Glow Lounge featuring classic Christmas movies.

We invite the community to get into the holiday spirit by contributing a non-perishable food item or an unwrapped toy to the Brampton Food Sharing Network and Peel Regional Police Toys for Tots campaign. Donations will be collected at the entrance of City Hall.

Don’t miss the exciting news as the City will announce the headlining act for Brampton’s New Year’s Eve celebration… you will not be disappointed.
