Canadian Muslim Community Categorically Condemns Terror Attack in Edmonton

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada shocked by senseless act of violence and prays for the victims and their families.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada condemns the horrific attack that took place in Edmonton and expresses its deepest condolences to the victims and families affected. The condemnation came after a man struck a police officer with a car before stabbing him and later plowed a truck into pedestrians on a busy street. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at urges for calm and patience as authorities work swiftly to restore security and bring perpetrators to justice.

Islam forbids all forms of terror and extremism. The Holy Qur’an teaches that killing even one innocent person is akin to killing all of mankind. “We are shocked and deeply grieved by the senseless attack that took place in Edmonton,” says National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada, Mr. Lal Khan Malik. “Our sincerest thoughts and prayers are with those injured and affected by this senseless act of violence.”The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada prays for solace and fortitude for all those left bereaved and affected in any way by this tragedy.
