Canada150 was celebrated in the most unique and electrifying way at Canadian Colour festival, Rung de’ ONE presented by ZEE TV

On Sunday July 9th 150 dancers celebrated the spirit of Being Canadian in the City of Mississauga with a bang at the Canadian Colour festival, RUNG DE ONE (RDO) presented by ZEE TV , held near Square One Mississauga at 4219 Living Arts Drive. In its fourth year, the outdoor colour festival saw a resounding response as Canadians came together in a colourful celebration to commemorate 150 years of Canada.

Mayor of city of Mississauga, Bonnie Crombie, coloured in orange and green, said “I think this is my fourth Rung De’ ONE, in the first three I said I can’t get coloured as I have to go somewhere else; inevitably, I got all coloured today”. She congratulated the festival organizers, Sumit Ahuja and Mitul Kadakia, for putting up another fantastic event, saying “this is the biggest and the best one yet”.

The highlight of this year’s festival was, for the first time ever 150 dancers performed together for Dance150 to celebrate the monumental moment of Canada 150 on RDO grounds. This act was choreographed by the renowned dance academy, Shiamak Toronto.

The acclaimed singer & composer Manj Musik, enthralled the audiences with his hits and Bollywood chartbusters. He couldn’t resist getting coloured and thoroughly enjoyed playing with colours and dancing with the attendees by coming down the stage. Live entertainment comprising of acclaimed DJs, dance performances and a wide variety of festive food options comprised a fun filled day for the attendees at the Canadian Colour Festival.

RDO festival presented by ZEE TV is a colourful celebration of Canada’s multicultural heritage, which uniquely celebrates the oneness of all Canadians. At RDO, attendees play outdoors with colour powder, indulge in festival food, dance to their favourite tunes and enjoy the spirit of Being Canadian with fellow Canadians. It is a pioneer interactive event, which uniquely celebrates ‘Being Canadian’ and embraces the true spirit of ‘Being One’.

Rung de’ ONE presented by ZEE TV is thank full to all its supporters, partners, volunteers, sponsors and most importantly to the Canadian media who highlighted the festival this year on a national level. The festival plans to be back stronger and bigger in July 2018
