Brampton is looking for data and technology driven ideas which will enhance the connection of newcomers to our city, while helping us retain youth – our largest enablers of change.  Residents are encouraged to submit their ideas through smartcities@brampton.ca. Ms. Kamal Khera, Member of Parliament for Brampton West believes the smart cities challenge will encourage Brampton residents to use innovation, data, and technology to address challenges facing the City of Brampton; one of the fastest growing cities in the country.   “Our Government is empowering Canadians to create meaningful change in their communities.  The Smart Cities Challenge will leverage data and technology to make life easier for hard working middle class Bramptonians.  Brampton is an educated, innovate city.  I look forward to the ideas our residents put forward and the positive outcomes we achieve through the smart cities approach,” said  Ms. Kamal Khera, Member of Parliament (Brampton West).
