BJP’s riot accused MLA booked for code violation

A case of poll code violation has been registered against Muzaffarnagar riot accused BJP MLA Sangeet Som and his two associates. According to reports, a campaign vehicle of Som equipped with an LED screen was moving around in the Sardhana constituency playing a provocative clipping of the Kanwal incident that triggered the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots. Meerut District Magistrate B Chandraleka confirmed that a case has been registered against the MLA, his manager and driver at the Sardhana police station.
