As investigations in the Bihar toppers scam gains momentum, more shocking revelations are taking place each day pointing out towards the fact that the mastermind of the scam Baccha Rai had turned into a education mafia by running several sham colleges, some from mud houses and some which existed only on papers.
A leading TV channel from India showed details relating to several colleges and school which Baccha Rai owned in Vaishali district alone. Interestingly, year after year Baccha Rai used to bring out full page advertisements in local newspapers inviting students to take admission in his bunch of colleges.
According to advertisements issued by Baccha Rai, he owned 10 colleges and four school in Vaishali district alone.Baccha Rai was also planning to open a full-fledged University known as Lord Buddha R.D.R.L.M Bihar University at Bahgwanpur in Vaishali.
The channel while carrying out an extensive investigation found that Thakur Devi Ramchandra Rajdev Bauuwaji Degree College was just a temporary structure in form of four room mud house in the name of a degree college. In the mud house, there was a principal office, college office, library and one laboratory. Surprisingly, there was no class room at this degree college which was located in the middle of a farm land, reported the channel.
Locals informed the chanek that they have never seen students or teachers at this college or even classes taking place here. They said that admission for this degree college used to take place at the dubious Bishun Rai College in Hajipur.
