PM Modi attends reception in Delhi A custom-made Ralph Lauren gown complete with a 75-foot-long veil, Priyanka Chopra’s wedding with Nick Jonas was a fairytale affair that could rival many a royal nuptials. Just to give perspective, Princess Diana’s wedding gown had a 25-foot-long train, which is said to be longest for a royal wedding, while Priyanka’s friend former actor Meghan Markle, who married Diana’s younger son, Prince Harry, had a 16-foot-long train.     Priyanka and Nick exchanged wedding vows on December 1 at Jodhpur’s majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace in a Catholic ceremony officiated by the groom’s father Kevin Jonas Sr. It was followed by an equally grand wedding as per Hindu traditions on December 2. “Nick, 26, was the one to suggest that the couple had both Christian and Hindu weddings to honour their faiths. It melted my heart. Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with our closest family and friends was unbelievably special,” she said.

Smiling, Sonali Bendre returns to India

Actress Sonali Bendre Behl, who has been putting up a brave fight against metastatic cancer for months in New York, returned to Mumbai on December 3, 2018. Bendre’s husband Goldie Behl said that her treatment has ended for now, but the battle still continues and she will have to go for regular check-ups. Sonali, announced earlier this year that she was diagnosed with a high grade cancer. She said her family and close friends have provided her the best support system. Clearly, Sonali was excited to be back in Mumbai — where her heart is — for a “happy interval”. Her Instagram post read: “I’m on my way back to where my heart is. It’s a feeling I can’t describe in words but I’m going to try — it’s the joy to see my family and friends again, the excitement to do what I love and mainly the gratitude for the journey I’ve had up until this moment. The fight is not yet over… but I’m happy and looking forward to this happy interval.” For Sonali, who has spent the tumultuous time with a smile on her face, “It’s time to learn that there is a new normal out there and I can’t wait to embrace it and switch on the sunshine”.

Rochelle Rao is back

Rochelle Rao, who had a hush-hush wedding with Keith Sequiera earlier this year, is all set to return to television with The Kapil Sharma Show. Rochelle has been a part of the show’s first instalment as well.A leading daily from India quoted its source as saying, “Rochelle will be adding glam quotient to the show and will be seen in a western avatar. Her character will be quite fluid, as she will be seen donning various looks throughout the show.”  Also Rochelle is reported to have said, “Honestly, saying yes to the show was a ‘no-brainer’. I had so much fun with the team the last time around that there was no way I was going to turn this down. I feel that The Kapil Sharma Show helped me explore my humorous side.”


 Actor-comedian Eddie Murphy has become a father for the 10th time after his fiancé Paige Butcher gave birth to their son. According to Murphy’s publicist Arnold Robinson, Butcher and Murphy welcomed the baby named Max Charles on November 30. Reportedly, Max’s middle name is a tribute to Murphy’s older brother and fellow comedian Charlie Murphy, who died in 2017. “Both mother and son are doing well,” Robinson said.
