Arrest Made in Double Shooting in Brampton

Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested a male in a shooting in the City of Brampton.

On Thursday April 12, 2018, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Peel Regional Police attended the area of Pergola Way and Clementine Drive for a report of a shooting. Officers attended and located a male and female victim, suffering from obvious signs of trauma.

A 73 year-old male victim and a 42 year-old female victim both from Brampton were transported to a Toronto Trauma Centre and are currently in serious but stable condition.

On Friday April 13, 2018 at approximately Investigators from 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged Gurpreet ARAICH, a 41 year-old male from Brampton for two counts of Attempted Murdertwo counts of Aggravated Assault and numerous firearms related charges. 

The victims and the accused are known to each.
