Appeal for Witnesses in Brampton Shooting

Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate a shooting homicide that occurred last night in Brampton.

On Monday, February 20, 2017 at approximately 10:20 p.m., the victim was in a motel room on Steelwell Road in the City of Brampton.  During an altercation with unknown culprit(s), the victim was shot. 

Jahsavior REID, a 19 year-old male from Toronto, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no imminent threat to public safety.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may have information regarding this incident to contact Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at (905) 453-2121 ext. 3205
