Appeal for Witnesses in Brampton Pedestrian Fatality

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation into a pedestrian fatality.

On Monday November 20, 2017, at approximately 9:35 p.m., the victim was crossing Queen Street West near Elbern Markell Drive in the City of Brampton. At the same time, a vehicle travelling west on Queen Street West struck the victim. The vehicle remained on scene.

The victim, a 30 year-old male from Brampton succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have witnessed the collision, have dashboard video footage of the incident or who may have information regarding the actions of the pedestrian and / or driver prior to the collision.

Suspect in custody after stabbing victim walks into  hospital

Toronto police has said that a teen has been arrested after a man walked into a Toronto hospital  suffering from a stab wound. As per reports, a 42-year-old man showed up at a local hospital at around 12:30 a.m. to receive treatment for a stab wound. His injuries were initially believed to be critical but he is now in stable condition, police confirm.

Police said that a 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident. He cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
