Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate an assault that occurred in a Mississauga motel room.

On Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 4:00 a.m., an altercation occurred at a motel on Dundas Street in Mississauga, in which a 30 year old female was struck with a liquor bottle. The victim was taken to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries to her hand and head.

Two female persons of interest were observed, on video, leaving the scene, carrying a small child. The females, described as having black, straight hair and wearing dark clothing, were observed walking east bound on Dundas Street near Wharton Way.  Investigators have determined the child belongs to one of these female parties, and there is no concern for the safety of the child.

Investigators would like to speak with both these females, as well as anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the assault, or observed the two females leaving the area.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators with the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 1233. Information may also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca or by sending a text message to CRIMES (274637) with the word ‘PEEL’ and then your tip.
