Social activist Anna Hazare will relaunch his agitation for Jan Lokpal in the New Delhion March 23 next year to coincide with Shaheedi Diwas according to his office at his village in Ralegan Siddhi in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district. Hazare’s supporters say he may start a fast on that date.

Besides demanding Jan Lokpal, he is expected to push for fair and remunerative prices for agricultural produce. “Hazare is upset he has not received any reply to his several letters to PM Narendra Modi on these issues,” media from India reported.

The Narendra Modi government had promised to appoint a Jan Lokpal. Hazare believes this has not been done since there is no Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

Amu, who announced bounty on Bhansali, Deepika, quits

Expresses displeasure with CM Khattar

BJP leader Suraj Pal Amu, who announced a bounty on the heads of film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and actor Deepika Padukone in the “Padmavati” row, has resigned from the post of the party’s state chief media coordinator.

Amu sent his resignation letter to state BJP president Subhash Barala through a WhatsApp message.  “I am deeply pained by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s behaviour with my Rajput community. The BJP gave me much respect and I too did my best to perform whatever duties were assigned to me during my 28 years in the party. Now, I am constrained to believe that the Chief Minister doesn’t need trusted and dedicated workers in the party,” Amu said in his resignation letter.

He alleged that Chief Minister Khattar was surrounded by “unwanted” people who had been keeping him away from committed party workers for the past three years. He said he would continue to work for the party as an ordinary worker.
