Pakistan’s tainted left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir is considering ending his Test career in order to focus on One-dayers and Twenty20 cricket. According to reports in the Pakistani media, Amir discussed this prospect with his teammates and the management after Pakistan lost the second Test against the West Indies in Barbados. “Amir himself is now upset that how this private discussion came out in the open and who leaked the discussions,” one report said. “The PCB and team management in West Indies is now investigating as to who is responsible for the leak,” it said.

Cricket should also be a part of Sports Code

Sports minister of India Vijay Goel wants BCCI to be a signatory of the revamped Sports Code that will be tabled very soon. “The question here is not about BCCI. The question is about including all the sports in the Sports Code as per my belief,“ Goel said. “As of now, the Sports Code is already in existence and is being followed by the federations. For the final code, I believe as soon as the report will be ready we will propose it.“

Berger on Schumacher’s recovery: I believe in miracle

Motorsport veteran Gerhard Berger has expressed his hope that Formula One legend Michael Schumacher will one day recover from the brain injuries he sustained in the 2013 skiing crash.  Berger said that he truly believes in `miracles` and is, therefore, hoping to hear some positive news in the coming future.  “I believe in the miracle and very much hope that we will soon hear positive news from Michael,” he said.
