8th KST- T20 HARD TENNIS BALL CRICKET TOURNAMENT

Kanada Sports Team, Inc organized the 8th  edition of KST T-20 Cricket Tournament.  This popular tournament attracts best talents and teams from in and around GTA. Due to an unprecedented response from teams across the GTA, this year the teams had to be restricted to 12.

The tournament was played on a league basis with six teams in two different groups. The top two teams from each group qualified for the playoffs. The semifinalist from Group A was Greatest XI and SDS SuperSixers and from Group B we had GPL XI and The Thirsty Bat.

The 8th edition of KST T-20 featured with a total 5,798 Runs being scored, 380 wickets taken, 404 sixers and 351 boundaries scored involving 177 players. Entire tournament statistics is available on

The semifinal and finals were played on 27th August 2017 at Huron Height’s Park Cricket Ground in Mississauga.  The finals were played between SDS SuperSixers and Greatest XI. After winning the toss, the SDS SuperSixers elected to bat. SDS SuperSixers put up a formidable total of 140 runs in 20 overs. Vinay Pandurangi and Vijay Balakrishnan Scoring 26 & 22 Runs for their team. Waseem Yousaf was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets.

Greatest XI started off strong, The openers Ashan Khan and Sufiyan Waraich gave a good start with a 73 Runs partnership. The SDS Supersixers put up a good fight with quick wickets but were not able to restrict the flow of runs, Captain Mudssar Azad ensured Greatest XI crossed the finish line. Prasanna Gottigere claimed 3 wickets.

Waseem Yousaf was named the man of the match for the finals. Mudssar Azad was named the Man of the Series of the KST-T20 tournament. Fair play award were presented to team “Canadigas”.
